6 Things to Consider Before Purchasing Your Best Value Stove
The stove is one of the most important parts of your kitchen. You will be cooking on it every day, so you want to make sure that you are GEtting the best value for your money.
There are many different stoves out there with all sorts of features and options. In this blog post, we have compiled a list of 6 things to consider before purchasing your next stove!
1. The Size of the Stove
One of the most important things to consider when purchasing a stove is the size. You need to make sure that it will fit in your kitchen! The standard sizes for stoves are 30 inches wide, 36 inches wide, and 42 inches wide.
If you have a smaller kitchen, you may want to consider a 30-inch stove. If you have a larger kitchen, you may want to consider a 36- or 42-inch stove.
2. The Type of Stove
There are three different types of stoves: electric, gas, and induction. Electric stoves are the most common type and they work by heating up coils that then heat the pan or pot. Gas stoves are also very common and they burn natural gas to create hot flames that cook your food.
Induction stoves work by creating a magnetic field in the bottom of the stove, which then heats up an induction plate and transfers this energy into your cooking utensils.
3. The Burner Design
The burner design is another thing to consider. There are two main types of burners: a flat top and surface-mounted.
Flat top stoves have the burners built in, while surface mounted ones have them on the outside of the stove.
4. Flat Top Stove Burner Designs
There are four different designs for flat top stove burners: smooth, ringed, semi-ringless, and recessed. Smooth burners are the most common type of burner design. The flames come out directly from under the pan or pot that you are cooking on.
Ringed burners have a metal piece around them to help prevent spillage when using larger pots and pans. Semi-ringless burners are similar to ringed burners, but they do not have a metal piece around them. This can be helpful if you want to use smaller pots and pans on the burner. Recessed burners are designed so that the pan or pot sits in the middle of the burner instead of directly on top of it.
5. The Number of Burners
Another thing to consider is the number of burners. Most stoves have between four and six burners, but there are some that have up to eight!
If you have a lot of people in your family or like to cook for large groups, you may want to consider a stove with more than six burners.
6. The Burner Size and Power Level
Another thing to consider is the size of the burner and its power level. You want your stovetop burners to have enough heat so that you can cook quickly on them, but not too much heat because they are harder to control when cooking smaller quantities of food at a time.
